The Monstrum Tactical S232P is a compact, heavy duty prism scope with a fixed 2x magnification and a 32mm objective lens. Ideal for rapid close to mid-range target acquisition out to 200 yards. This scope uses a glass prism optical system rather than a refracting lens system like traditional scopes, allowing for better optical quality in a much smaller package. The crystal clear optics give a comfortable eye relief of 3.0-3.5 inches. The reticle can illuminate in red or green with multiple brightness levels or viewed in black when off to cover most lighting environments.

Nice little scope. Magnification is a little more than 2X. It is identical to the 2.5X scope sold by Primary Arms. I can look thru both at the same time, and see they are the same. I would guess 2.25X. But it is identical to the PA 2.5 scope. I would say the lens is a little bit clearer than the lenses PA is using. Slightly wider field of view with the Monstrom. My only complaint would be the mount. It appears to be an ACOG compatible mount, but it's not. The bolt hole spacing is shorter. So you are stuck with this mount. Throw away the two tightening nuts. The pair weigh 1.6 ounces!! I had the old Primary Arms nuts laying around after changing that mount. They weigh .4 ounces. So you can knock 1.2 ounces off just by changing the nuts. It now weighs 13.9 ounces. Really cannot beat this scope for the money.

  • Great scope but adjustment knobs are reversed

Sighted this on my AR pistol but it took some extra time and rounds fired because the elevation turret had a windage marking (left arrow) while the windage was OK but adjustment went backwards to the arrow. For windage CCW moves the group left and for elevation CCW moves the group left. Mounts required retightening so check during firing. Movement was probably .5 MOA per click. Manual was useless. Liked the scope and it was clear and sighted well.
