Optics

Rifle scopes are essential optics for any serious shooter, with features like generous eye relief, variety of magnification ranges (e.g., 1-6x, 3−9x and 6-24x), and reticles in the First Focal Plane (FFP) or Second Focal Plane (SFP) position. Optics are grouped by the effective shooting range they are designed for. Such as HPVO for long range shooting, LPVO for close range, and Prism Scopes for fast target acquisition. Our optics have functions like daylight bright illumination, adjustable objective settings, and precise turret adjustments for both MOA and MIL systems.

Optics/Scope Types & Functions

LPVO Scopes (Low Power Variable Optics):

LPVO optics are the ultimate all-purpose scope, allowing a rifle to seamlessly handle both close-quarters combat and precise, extended-range shots. They achieve this by offering a true 1x setting for fast, both-eyes-open target acquisition, and an upper magnification (10x) for accurate long-distance engagements. This makes them perfect for adaptable rifles like the AR-15.

MPVO Scopes (Medium Power Variable Optics):

MPVO scopes are a category of rifle scope that strikes a balance between the Low Power Variable Optics (LPVO) and the specialized High Power Variable Optics (HPVO). Common ranges include 2x–10x, 3x–12x, or 4x–12x. Capable of making accurate shots in various lighting conditions, ensuring a successful hunt in a portable package.

Long Range (HPVO):

Long Range scopes feature high-magnification going up to 32x or more. Used for long-range precision shooting, hunting at extended distances, or specialized marksmen roles. These scopes feature large objective lenses to gather max light, advanced turrets, parallax adjustments and complex FFP reticles.

Prism Scopes:

A Prism scope (prismatic sight) uses a solid glass prism to focus and invert the image unlike the series of lenses in a traditional rifle scope. Magnification from 1x to 5x and with an etched reticle that can be illuminated or used when turned off. Extra compact and a sharp/clear picture that is astigmatism friendly.

Red Dots:

Most common red dot sights are open reflex (reflecting plane of glass) or enclosed/tube. These sights give an appearance of a floating reticle on the target without magnification. Very fast target acquisition in close range scenarios. The illuminated dot/reticle is visible in all light conditions.

Magnifiers:

Primary purpose is to magnify red dot sights, however Monstrum has engineered a model that works with prism and other scopes. Our magnifiers feature a flip-to-side mount which allow it to be activated when needed. Fixed magnification typically of 2x or 3x power.
